Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our organization as a Senior Program Manager. The role is a member of the Insights and Data Products technical program management team (within the Work Dynamics Technology pillar). This role will be expected to immediately step in as the program lead for the Enterprise Data Platform Data Governance and Data Quality programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage multiple programs and projects within the Data Quality and Data governance workstreams, collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external vendors.
  • Develop and execute program plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, budget and timeline management, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.
  • Drive project goals, objectives, and success criteria, aligning with the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Regularly monitor and report on program status, risks, and issues, providing appropriate recommendations and escalations to senior leadership.
  • Learn quickly and enthusiastically about technical systems and issues.
  • Constantly evaluate processes and seek ways to improve with each iteration.
  • Foster a collaborative working environment, promote effective communication and cooperation among project team members, stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Proactively identify and address potential project roadblocks and conflicts, implementing effective resolutions and contingency plans.
  • Excel in leading effective meetings, documenting decisions, and following up.
  • Ensure that all involved parties understand and accept their roles and responsibilities.
  • Ensure transparency of progress and issues/risks, driving risk mitigation, contingency planning, and issue resolution.
  • Communicate status, updates, and program summaries via presentations, email, and direct communication with key stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Track and report key program metrics, informing stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Ensure adherence to and continuous improvement of project management best practices, methodologies, and standards.
  • Provide regular and ad hoc status reports on schedule, budget, scope, and deliverables using a standardized approach.
  • Track and report key milestones and business metrics, creating data visualizations and dashboard summaries for executive-level management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years as a Technical Program Manager, leading complex projects or programs from initiation to closure.
  • 3+ years’ experience working directly with engineering teams.
  • 3+ years’ experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with Data governance, data quality and/or data-related products (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency in relevant project management tools (e.g., Smartsheets, MS Project, ADO, JIRA) and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
  • Demonstrated history of driving organizational change, enhancing project delivery processes, and adapting to evolving IT landscapes.
  • High sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with developers, product managers, and senior business and engineering leaders.
  • Proven track record with software development project planning, progress tracking, and risk management.
  • Experience working within and directing geographically dispersed, diverse, and virtual teams.
  • Strong understanding and experience with project scheduling, forecast/budgeting, and resource management.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, Change Management frameworks, and Enterprise Business Applications.

Estimated total compensation for this position: 135,000.00 – 150,000.00 USD per year.
