What you will do:
As our 3D CAD Technician , you will create models of industrial electronic and mechanical components from 2D drawings, 3D renderings, and physical/real-world components for use in a 3D layout environment. These models will be used in the design and production of our engineered panels that help control and monitor one of the world's most valuable and limited resources- Water! This position works at our Ashland, OH location.
The Job:
Every day you will develop 3D models using Fusion 360 or similar drafting software. You will independently review, maintain, and work through our component usage database and will work to optimize model files to ensure compatibility with the EPlan 3D layout environment. You will work with Design Engineering, Production, and Automation teams to ensure model accuracy and useability while also working through any necessary troubleshooting of model sizing, spacing, and fit. You will also serve as backup to 3D Scanning Technician to scan and prepare 3D models of components and be cross trained on automated production equipment to serve as a backup operator.
The skills you need:
To thrive in this job, you must have knowledge of electrical components from various manufacturers, including their mounting, usage, and accessories in industrial control panel designs. You must also have knowledge of Fusion 360, AutoCAD Electrical or similar CAD drafting software. Knowledge of EPlan software a plus. An associate's degree in engineering and 2-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
