Job Title: Clinical Research Informatician (Direct Hire)

Location: 2011 N. Soto St, Los Angeles, CA 90032 (Medical Enterprise)

Work Type: Onsite (Local candidates only) |USC/Green Card Holders

Duration: Direct Hire

Salary Range: $125K - $130K

Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Interview Process: 2-3 steps, conducted via Video/Teams

Dress Code: Business Casual

Summary:

The Clinical Research Informatician will serve as a liaison between clinicians, researchers, and data specialists, helping develop and implement data solutions that enhance patient care and clinical research. This position requires expertise in clinical workflows, informatics, and healthcare data systems, with a focus on advancing healthcare through the integration of IT solutions.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate: Act as a liaison between clinical stakeholders and technical teams to align IT solutions with healthcare needs.
  • Data Management: Develop, implement, and maintain healthcare applications, datasets, and algorithms.
  • Workflow Optimization: Analyze and enhance clinical workflows to improve efficiency and patient outcomes through IT interventions.
  • Technology Implementation: Lead efforts to introduce new technologies in clinical settings and ensure smooth adoption.
  • Healthcare Data Curation: Organize and document healthcare data within a data warehouse, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate reports and insights from clinical data using tools like SQL and Python.
  • Training and Communication: Facilitate training sessions with clinical stakeholders and software vendors to ensure optimized product use.


Required Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, or a related clinical field (e.g., Nursing) with certification in Health Informatics
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in:
  • Clinical research
  • Clinical informatics
  • IT and/or academic healthcare settings
  • Experience with clinical operations, health information management, or care management
  • Expertise in clinical standards, coding, ontologies, and taxonomies
  • Familiarity with clinical KPIs and healthcare data systems
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency with SQL and Python (or similar coding languages)
  • Advanced Microsoft 365 skills, particularly Excel and Word
  • Ability to generate reports, analyze data, and identify discrepancies


Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with healthcare software vendors and IT service providers
  • Experience liaising between clinical and technical teams to align solutions
  • Proven ability to integrate and optimize clinical workflows


Onboarding Requirements:

USC will manage all onboarding processes for direct hires, including:

  • Background Check: 7-year SSN trace, criminal checks, sex offender registry, healthcare sanctions, OIG/SAM
