JOB SUMMARY

This position will manage the business development lifecycle for the Company’s services in identified business lines to improve win probability and position the organization to craft a compelling technical and pricing solution while identifying and managing risk. This multi-faceted role requires a blend of business development, capture management, project management, and strategic and critical thinking skills. The senior capture manager will support work within the areas of government contracting, environmental consulting outside of oil and gas, engineering, and remediation. Efforts will include development and implementation of the Company’s capture management strategy beginning with pre-request for proposal activities up until a proposal release, with support of the written proposal and opportunity award as required. Another key aspect of this role will be identifying opportunities that fit within the Company’s capabilities and objectives for growth, which will include material database analysis and research. Working closely with the Company’s business units and proposals team, this position will be a collaborative, key member of ASRC Energy’s Growth Strategy Team where we are finding solutions for a sustainable future. This is viewed as a development role that could provide future advancement opportunities within the Company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  1. Strategically assess and build opportunity pipelines in the fields of government contracting, environmental consulting outside of oil and gas, engineering, and remediation.
  2. Collaboratively work with Growth Strategy Team members, business units, and the Innovation team to manage and lead capture-related activities from opportunity identification to award and execute the overall capture plan that includes technical, management, past performance, pricing strategies, and win themes.
  3. Conduct research and database analysis to identify opportunities within the Company’s capabilities and objectives for growth.
  4. Build market position by supporting the location, development, defining, and strengthening of key business relationships.
  5. Provide leadership, review and written support where required during the proposal stage for opportunities that were capture managed.
  6. Develop detailed and thorough briefing materials and present during capture management meetings, gate reviews, and to senior leadership as required.
  7. Oversee the updating and management of the Company’s tracker for conferences, sponsorships, and speaking engagements in support of business development for the identified business lines.
  8. Identify trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements.
  9. Conduct market research and analysis as needed to support growth and capture management strategy.
  10. Search and manage the Company’s third party database for opportunity identification and key alerts.
  11. Interact with all levels of the organization and stay current on ASRC Energy capabilities.
  12. Support safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
  13. Supervise and provide constructive feedback to staff who provide services within the identified business lines.
  14. Contribute information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans.
  15. Forecast requirements; prepare an annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances.
  16. Adhere to AES’s values and conduct business activities with integrity, honesty and ethical behavior at all times exhibiting professionalism and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  17. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
  18. Work collaboratively with all support services to ensure the above objectives are effectively managed.
  19. Be a collaborative and active member of the AES team and provide support across the organization as required.
  20. Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
  21. Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
  22. Other duties will be assigned as needs require.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor’s degree.
  2. A minimum of 4 years’ experience in one or a combination of the following areas: federal government contracting, relationship management or technical sales, proposal management, project management, or other substantially similar experience.
  3. Excellent communication and ability to effectively speak/present on complex topics to management.
  4. Excellent interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills required.
  5. Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive materials.
  6. Intermediate proficiency with MS Office Suite programs, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
