Gibbs Truck Centers - BODY SHOP , established 1969, multi-location dealer group throughout California, is seeking a highly experienced Body Shop Manager to oversee a successful team and productive department. Essential Duties:
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers.
- Coach, hire, train, motivate, and monitor team performance.
- Manage safety protocols.
- Provide quotes for paint and truck repairs.
- Manage insurance claims.
- Monitor progress and completion of repairs.
- Check quality of completed work.
- Prepare final billing for completed repair orders.
- Follow up with customers.
- Manage accounts receivables and payables; work with accounting staff.
- Maintain and ensure equipment is safe and used properly.
- Facilitate technical training and send employees to appropriate training classes.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum High School diploma or GED required (College preferred).
- Knowledge of ADP / CDK preferred or equivalent.
- Experience with Mitchell Paint/Body Estimating System or equivalent.
- Experience in Body Shop & Auto Painting preferred.
- Minimum 4-5 years management experience (auto/diesel a plus).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Sales and relationship-building skills.
- Bilingual is a plus.
