As the Sales Lead at Magpie Literacy, you will serve a critical role in our mission to eradicate illiteracy. You will lead and oversee our sales operations and support our distribution partners. This role works closely with senior leadership and contractors to build sales capacity and convert leads. You will also work closely with our product, operations, and customer success teams ensuring an outstanding and secure experience for our partners.

What You’ll Do:

  • Create SY 25-26 and 26-27 sales, informed by fundraising, policy research, distribution partnerships, product development, and SY 24-25 outcomes.
  • Design and execute first year of Magpie sales
  • Manage and support distribution partnerships
  • The above responsibilities include responsibilities, such as:
    • Streamline sales process, including agreements and compliance requirements
    • Build sales assets and supports
    • Respond to RFPs
    • Convert leads and pilot partnerships
    • Manage and improve our CRM (including potential migration from spreadsheets to Salesforce)
    • Work closely with the School Partnerships Lead on the relationship hand-off for customer success
    • You’ll be a critical partner to the leadership team.
    • You’ll manage contractors supporting this work.

Requirements

This Job is For You If You Have:

  • 5+ years relevant experience related to maintaining operational excellence in a business or leadership capacity.
  • Start-up experience and an ability to launch initial sales efforts
  • Familiarity with sales pipeline efforts and systems (e.g., Salesforce)
  • School-based experience and you care deeply about the experience of school administrators, teachers, and students
  • Active team player, self-starter, and multitasker who can quickly adjust priorities
  • Strong track record as a highly reliable leader with a blend of superior strategic, operational, program/project management, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Creative and inclusive problem solver with a roll-up-the-sleeves approach.
  • Outcomes-oriented, experienced in utilizing analytical rigor with the ability to work under pressure to handle time-sensitive projects.
  • Exhibit absolute integrity and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • A track record as a voracious, curious, and active learner
