The Global Strategic Account Manager role is for the Specialty Components business which is part of the Clutches & Brakes (C&B) Division within the Industrial Powertrain Solutions (IPS) Sector and will be located at our IPS HQ in Milwaukee. The role will be focused on our Berg business which consist of precision components selling into multiple industries (i.e. Medical, Aerospace, Telecommunications, Industrial). The Global Strategic Account Manager is responsible for working cooperatively with the sales management team and customers to deliver exceptional sales and customer support with the goal to grow sales at the appropriate margins while increasing customer satisfaction for all Regal Rexnord products and services under Specialty Components. Contribute to overall team success by identifying current customer trends, orders and inquiries that promote the ease of doing business.
Key Accountabilities:
- Achieves defined sales goals for specific Regal Rexnord products and services under Specialty Components
- Engages in a team-based selling approach consisting of trust, respect, and open communication amongst sales team as well as field sales and customers
- Establishes and maintains partnerships with new and existing customers by effectively applying the highest level of product knowledge related to the appropriate customer application to maximize sales opportunities
- Deliver timely solutions to customers issues by proposing product and service changes or creating procedures for resolution
- Works effectively in an intradepartmental environment to ensure transparency of information and cooperation among departments
- Achieves measurable customer satisfaction scores by proactively addressing customer issues
- Manage a commercial funnel, by working closely with quote opportunities, trend activities within territory and new projects
- Identifies sales opportunities and utilizes a team-based selling approach to meet defined sales goals
- Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and to assess the company's relationship with them including capturing VOC
- Understands and practices strategic and partnership building skills to increase customer base
- Maximizes new business and marketing opportunities
- Embraces industry practices and utilizes appropriate business tools to drive results
- Attend targeted trade shows to promote company products and services
- Monitor competitors sales activities within assigned territory
- Work closely with external Reps to increase footprint
- Identify specific market trends and level of customer knowledge to strengthen partnerships and achieve long-term customer loyalty
- Maintain solid working relationships with customers by ensuring that their needs are met and manages all escalated customer issues to facilitate timely issue resolution
- Respond to customer inquiries relating to pricing, lead time and delivery in support of Specialty Components profit, sales, and customer satisfaction objectives
- Maintain positive relationship with strategic customers and internal partners.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Business Management, Marketing, or equivalent years of experience
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in sales roles in industrial companies selling to a diverse group of OEMs and/or Wholesale Distributors using both direct sales teams and manufacturing reps
- Proficient in computer skills, Windows operating systems, Microsoft applications/spreadsheets, customer relationship management (ie. Salesforce) and various sales tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Strong negotiation and consultative sales skills
- Previous customer and sales experience in a manufacturing or technical industry is preferred
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitude with ability to work in a team environment preferred
- Strong interpersonal and influence capabilities with a focus on time management is also preferred
