Head of Core HFT Technology
Our client, a multi-billion-dollar trading firm, is looking for an experienced Head of Core HFT Technology to lead their technology team in Chicago, being responsible for developing and maintaining the infrastructure that powers high-frequency trading strategies. This leadership role offers the opportunity to shape the technological vision of the firm while collaborating closely with traders, quantitative researchers, and other technical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of core technology systems that support high-frequency trading operations.
- Collaborate with trading and quant teams to identify technology needs and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Drive the implementation of the best practices in software development, system performance, and infrastructure scalability.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record in a technology leadership role within the financial services sector, specifically in high-frequency trading.
- Strong technical background in system architecture, low-latency programming, and distributed systems.
- Expertise in programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python, with a solid understanding of algorithms and data structures.
