Job Overview: A leading national defense firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with experience in General Liability defense, including auto and premises liability, to join their Denver office. This role involves managing various aspects of general liability cases and advocating for clients throughout the litigation process. It’s an excellent opportunity for attorneys with 3 to 10 years of experience who are dedicated to achieving favorable outcomes for clients while maintaining high professional standards.

Location:

Denver, Colorado

Duties:

  • Draft comprehensive legal reports, including initial, interim, pre-trial, and appellate reports.
  • Prepare and respond to discovery requests and motions.
  • Attend court appearances regularly to represent clients.
  • Take and defend depositions of both fact and expert witnesses.
  • Draft and argue motions for summary judgment.
  • Collaborate with clients and legal teams to build and implement effective case strategies.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado.
  • 3 to 10 years of experience in General Liability defense, specifically in bad faith, auto, and premises liability cases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex legal matters.
  • Proficiency in legal research with excellent written and oral communication abilities.
  • Ability to effectively manage discovery and draft motions.
  • Experience with depositions and court appearances.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership with the Colorado State Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong research, writing, and litigation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for client interaction and collaboration.
  • Organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
