Position Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Microsoft Power Platform Team Lead to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who excels in visualization, self-service BI models, and tabular data models using Azure Synapse, while also being hands-on in creating Power Apps and Power Automate flows. The ideal candidate will lead a team of offshore resources, manage projects, and drive the development of innovative solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Visualization and Wireframes:
   Develop wireframes and prototypes to translate business requirements into functional and visually appealing BI solutions. Apply best practices in data visualization to create actionable and insightful reports and dashboards in Power BI.
2. Power Platform Development:
   Design and develop custom applications using Power Apps to address specific business needs and streamline processes. Create and manage Power Automate flows to automate business processes and integrate with various systems and services. Develop and implement interactive and user-friendly dashboards and reports using Power BI.
3. Data Modeling and Integration:
   Set up and maintain self-service BI models and tabular data models using Azure Synapse Analytics. Design and optimize data models for performance and scalability, ensuring they support effective data analysis and visualization. Integrate Power Platform solutions with Azure Synapse and other data sources to ensure seamless data flow and accessibility.
4. Team Leadership:
   Lead, mentor, and manage a team of offshore developers and analysts specializing in Power Platform technologies. Provide technical guidance, support, and training to ensure the team meets project goals and adheres to best practices. Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
5. Agile Development:
   Manage BI projects using agile methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and iterative development. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and adapt to evolving business requirements.
6. Collaboration and Communication:
   Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and refine requirements, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical solutions. Communicate technical concepts and solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
7. Continuous Improvement:
   Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in Power Platform, Azure Synapse, and data analytics. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of BI solutions and development processes.

Technical Skills

1. Microsoft Power Platform:
   Advanced experience with Power Apps for building custom applications and Power Automate for workflow automation. Proficiency in Power BI for creating interactive reports and dashboards.
2. Azure Synapse Analytics:
   Expertise in setting up and managing tabular data models using Azure Synapse. Knowledge of integrating Azure Synapse with Power Platform solutions.
3. Data Modeling and Visualization:
   Strong skills in data modeling, including creating and optimizing tabular models. Ability to design and implement effective data visualizations and interactive dashboards.
4. Agile Development:
   Experience with agile development practices and tools such as Scrum or Kanban.
5. Collaboration Tools:
   Familiarity with collaboration and project management tools like Microsoft Teams, Jira, or Azure DevOps.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in business intelligence and application development, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role focused on Microsoft Power Platform and Azure Synapse.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
