Overview
Located in the heart of downtown Portland, East West College is seeking an experienced and dedicated Federal Financial Aid Director to join our Student Services team. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of federal financial aid administration, ensure compliance with regulations, and be part of a team dedicated to supporting students' educational needs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee the administration and disbursement of all federal financial aid programs
- Ensure institutional compliance with federal regulations and guidelines
- Manage and supervise the Financial Aid Office staff
- Develop and implement financial aid policies and procedures
- Serve as the primary contact for federal, state, and accrediting agency auditors
- Monitor and reconcile financial aid funds
- Provide guidance on complex financial aid cases and appeals
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize student service and enrollment
- Conduct regular training sessions for staff on federal regulations and best practices
- Prepare annual reports and analyze financial aid data to inform institutional planning
Required Qualifications
- Degree or professional certification
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial aid administration at a higher education institution
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in financial aid
- Comprehensive knowledge of federal financial aid regulations and Title IV programs
- Experience with financial aid management systems and student information systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of state financial aid programs
- Familiarity with enrollment management strategies
- Experience with Populi SIS software a plus
- Active membership in professional financial aid associations

Pay: $58,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
