Engineering Manager

The Firefly GenAI India engineering team is looking for an ML Service Engineering Manager to work on enabling exciting experiences for the Creative Cloud clients.

What you'll do:

1. Contribute to the backend services for Firefly that power the generative AI features on Firefly website, Photoshop, Illustrator, Express, Stock, Premier and 3rd party Enterprise customers.
2. Optimize services to address high performance, latency, and load requirements.
3. Understand the service requirements and technical constraints of various platforms and come up with solutions to simplify the software stack.
4. Develop efficient, reliable, testable, maintainable services code in a variety of stacks (JVM, Python).
5. Regularly review and tune test code to achieve a high standard of software quality, code coverage, and performance metrics.
6. Respond to urgent production issues requiring fast resolution and deployment of code fixes/updates.
7. Work closely with teams across Adobe, in different geographies. The technology you produce will have visibility at the highest levels of the company and materially affect the positive impact products have on our customers.

What you need to succeed:

1. Tech or M.Tech. degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
2. 3+ years of management experience.
3. 10+ years of experience with JVM (Java Virtual Machine) based languages or Python backend/service development.
4. Must be well versed with distributed computing principles, proven experience building high scale high performance cloud platforms and services.
5. Extensive experience with CI/CD and an in-depth knowledge of containerization and modern deployment strategies.

Bonus Qualifications:

1. Experience in improving the inference GPU utilization on ML platform.
2. Experience in Kubernetes, AWS or similar cloud infrastructure.
3. Experience building and training ML models.
4. Experience in Video domain.
