Construction Estimator

We are searching for an experienced and dedicated Estimator to join the team of a company in Wixom, MI. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity within a company that offers career growth and advancement.

Position: Estimator

Schedule: Monday – Friday, Onsite

About the Estimator: The Estimator will prepare, plan, and evaluate estimates, participating in the Target Value Design process, and submit bids and proposals. The Estimator will coordinate internal and external estimating resources, provide guidance to support both collaborative and traditional estimating processes.

What You’ll Need:

• Review project documents to define scope of work and estimate deliverables.
• Prepare and manage detailed and conceptual estimates, including takeoffs for self-perform trades.
• Coordinate and lead bid processes, bid solicitations, and subcontractor communications.
• Collaborate with firms and participate in pre-bid and project meetings.
• Lead project estimates, oversee estimating resources, and compile final estimates for project teams.
• Support cost assessments, risk analysis, and financial reporting with project managers.
• Mentor junior estimators and maintain accurate estimating documentation and reports.

What You’ll Do:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5-8 years of estimating experience.
• Knowledge of estimating processes, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracting.
• Proficient in conceptual estimating, site and building systems, and construction coding (MasterFormat/Uniformat).
• Experience with GMP and Lump Sum project types.
• Strong skills in Excel, WinEst, On-Screen Takeoff, and scheduling software (Microsoft Project or Primavera).
• Familiarity with BIM tools (e.g., REVIT, Vico) preferred.
