Job DescriptionResponsible for the overall direction and management of the Human Resources functions and staff including but not limited to employment matters, team member relations, training, communications, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
- Manage and direct team member relations, employment, training, and team member health benefit activities.
- Develop and recommend new procedures which reflect changes in company objectives.
- Administer and communicate employment policies, procedures, and programs.
- Administer in-house training and development programs.
- Review and advise management staff on matters dealing with discipline, team member assistance, and workers' compensation/safety to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures and legal requirements.
- Direct, develop, and implement effective team member communication programs through in-house publications and other communication tools.
- Continuously promote open communication between team members and management to ensure a positive working environment.
- Review and monitor written team member performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and other human resources-related matters to identify potential problems and/or issues of concern.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Five (5) years of human resources management experience required.
- PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
- Knowledgeable of HR concepts, policies and procedures, with clear understanding of legal compliance requirements and employment related laws both federal and state level.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications and be proficient with HRIS systems.
- Must have strong organizational skills and be able to multi-task competing projects.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
