The VP of Operations will be responsible for the operations at LA Darling in Paragould, AR. Marmon’s strong financial position and access to capital enables our business to grow strategically via innovation, internal investment, and acquisition while experiencing the service and agility of a small business.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Supports and guides company and their leadership in the maximization of operating efficiency and productivity.
  2. Ensures operations systems, procedures and policies are deployed effectively. Oversees and holds management accountable for leading and developing strategies for continuous improvement, space/equipment utilization, effective labor management, quality assurance, product safety, and customer satisfaction.
  3. Assist Automation Manager in evaluating existing processes suitability for automation.
  4. Manages and coordinates quality, efficiency projects, and activities to assure continuous improvements and drive business results and growth.
  5. Recommends, evaluates, designs, and executes best practice business processes and process changes to improve service, efficiency, and employee engagement.
  6. Promotes and leads succession planning efforts by providing developmental opportunities that will support future growth plan.
  7. Provides strategic alignment for the key departmental resources to support the organizations new product introductions and product line extensions.
  8. Organizes, supports, and promotes effective communications across the entire organization by creating a shared vision for success.
  9. Creates meaningful Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that will deliver our yearly operational plan and the planned process improvement initiatives.
  10. Participates in the development of the organization’s policies, standard procedures, and long-range strategic plans.
  11. Manage inventory and establishes controls to ensure the organization is operating at the highest level of performance based on key performance metrics and minimized supply chain risk.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor of Business, Operations, or Engineering degree.
  2. A minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in manufacturing/warehousing environment and/or progressive experience in operations and materials management roles.
