Read on to learn more about this exciting opportunity.What you'll do:Develops and maintains lasting relationships with customers delivering industry leading service. Using Load Board shipment data, reviews quote requests, calculates mileage, equipment, permits, & sets profit margins. Communicates rates, negotiates pricing and handles invoicing. Assign trucking companies to loads, create load confirmations, confirming important information ie, pick-up and delivery location information, dock hours, reference numbers, and creates Bill of Lading. Tracks shipment progress / location using GPS software, updates related parties, and holds trucking companies accountable. Troubleshoots and resolves issues that occur while the shipment is in transit and communicates with all related parties. Maintains customer database on brokerage software. Handles damage claims, interacts with customers and insurance companies, and facilitates a timely resolution of claims. Meet and exceed set profit margin goals. Builds Preferred Carrier base by working with IEL management to identify and contact potential trucking companies. Consistently looks for opportunities to improve processes and the customer experience. What you'll bring to the team and our customers...Extensive experience with using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, & Excel), Google Docs and Google Sheets required. College degree preferred or 3+ years equivalent work experience is required 2+ years of load board experience and non-asset truck brokerage experience is preferred. International shipping experience helpful. Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail is required. Excellent verbal and written/email skills is required. Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities is required. Professional and proactive attitude building long-term relationships with customers and trucking companies is required. Capable of working independently and follows established processes is required. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem solving skills is required.
