Payroll Specialist- Tom Wood Group

The Tom Wood Group in Indianapolis, Indiana, is currently seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with a deep understanding of payroll processes and regulations. They will excel at maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance, and providing exceptional support to employees.
Salary: $60,000 to $70,000 - Based on experience
Schedule: Monday to Friday - Role is onsite Indianapolis, Indiana
Responsibilities:

• Process biweekly payroll & supplemental payrolls for more than 1,000 employees
• Process all payroll reporting after each transmittal
• Send out biweekly and supplemental payroll reports for various store locations
• Follow up with management teams on time & attendance functions as well as time off approvals on a weekly basis
• Administer garnishments and child support administration
• ADP reporting functions for Executive management, GM, Office Managers, and others
• Verification of new hire information in ADP system
• New hire reporting to the applicable states
• Handle termination paperwork and maintain terminated employee files
• Other payroll duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 3- 5 years of payroll experience - prefer experience with ADP Workforce Now
• Associates/undergraduate degree in HR, Business, Accounting or equivalent work experience in payroll area.
• Ability to partner across organizations including Finance, Sales, Marketing, Operations, IT, Senior Managers, and Employees.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
• A high level of confidentiality/discretion is required.
• MUST have a valid driver's license with a clean record
