JOB OVERVIEW

Codaray Construction is seeking a Vice President in the Houston, TX market.

The Vice President at Codaray is primarily responsible for the overall management and leadership of the Codaray Regional Division. The Vice President manages profit and loss for the business unit and has direct responsibility for setting and achieving the strategic business goals for the company.

The Vice President plays a pivotal role in strategically positioning the company for new business opportunities. They cultivate a positive company image within the community and align opportunities with growth goals. By managing relationships with existing clients, new prospects, and vendors, they secure work while emphasizing exceptional quality, effective communication, and timely delivery. Ultimately, their efforts ensure that clients have a positive experience with Codaray.

The Vice President , in collaboration with the Executive Vice President, assumes responsibility for assessing, developing, managing, and evaluating all facets of the regional division’s goals and objectives. This includes overseeing the strategic and tactical planning process and ensuring successful outcomes. Additionally, the Vice President leads a team of direct reports, including Project Executives, Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, and Superintendents.

The Vice President will carry out essential functions and responsibilities in alignment with Codaray’s values, beliefs, and policies. Their goal is to ensure client satisfaction and achieve the company’s expected standards of safety, quality, and profitability.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must exhibit Codaray Construction’s Core Values (Integrity, Passion, Unity, Sustainability, Humility).
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction/engineering or equivalent combination of technical training and related experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years in construction experience with seven (7) years in leadership role working on project size of $30m+.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Efficiency in Microsoft Office and other construction software utilized by Codaray.
  • Self-motivated and ability to adapt to assigned tasks.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on computer
  • Driving to meeting and job sites
  • Visiting sites for pre-bids and evaluations (climbing stairs, ladders, etc.)
  • 20/20 vision (with or without correction); climbing; talking; hearing (with or without aid); and typing/computer entry.

DRIVER LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

Current valid driver’s license. Favorable driving record required for company vehicle or auto allowance.
