Our client is a global hospitality organization looking for a Business Analyst to focus on projects within their enterprise data teams. In this role, you will gather and organize information related to data products that support the development of scalable, business-critical data processing solutions. You will help build intuitive and reliable data products that drive data discovery, self-service analytics, and innovation. As part of a global data community, you will collaborate within cross-functional, agile teams, including Data Product Managers, Data Stewards, Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, Data Engineers, and executives, to improve both guest and employee experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Data Product team in gathering, analyzing, and organizing requirements across multiple functions, including Guest Services, Marketing, Revenue Management, Sales, Loyalty, Finance, and Operations.
- Contribute to the development of technical deliverables, review technical documents, and provide input on data product plans and milestones.
- Analyze and verify requirements to ensure completeness, consistency, feasibility, and adherence to standards.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Stakeholders, Data Engineering/Platform, and Data Science teams to execute data product roadmaps.
- Promote the development of self-service capabilities for business users to access and report on key business information.
- Provide input on defining and implementing information management best practices across the organization, and ensure data integrity across all systems.
Experience & Skills:
- 8+ years of proven experience in business and technical requirements analysis, documenting business use cases, and drafting data and BI requirements.
- Strong ability to prioritize and execute tasks with a customer-focused approach.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- SQL experience is preferred.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- A self-directed and motivated learner with a strong work ethic and personal integrity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to work effectively across departments, even in ambiguous situations.
- Experience in the hospitality industry or with IDeaS Revenue Management systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud data warehouse environments, BI projects, and data visualization/design tools is a plus.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
