Job Summary:
The Account Director role is one of the most pivotal roles in Black Swan’s client engagement – responsible for leading teams and working with established clients to understand needs and unlock the areas in which we can add greater value to their business.
Key Responsibilities:
Individuals will combine strong functional experience with important human qualities: courage to lead from the front, adaptability to work in a scale-up environment with fast-growing clients, and the honesty & transparency to be able to work as part of a high-performing team.
- Delivers on client value drivers and success metrics to secure Gross Revenue Retention (GRR) objectives.
- Builds and owns opportunity pipeline to deliver Net Revenue Retention (NRR) objectives.
- Becomes the trusted partner of major global CPG clients, leading the team and setting the overall vision for the account.
- Engages with clients proactively to understand their key business questions, and conducts joint business planning with client, driving expansion upward in the client organization.
- Integrates a cross-functional team of customer success and solutions leaders in support of overall client relationship growth.
- Leads the interaction between our clients and our product teams, to ensure that what we build for the future is tightly aligned to client needs.
Requirements:
Successful account directors are consummate commercial/account management professionals, with a keen understanding of insight & the human skills involved in creating influence up to C-Suite level. They are often former market research practitioners who understand the unique ways in which CPG organizations operate.
Desirable Experiences:
- 8+ years combined experience working in market research practitioner and account management roles, preferably within CPG.
- Prior responsibility and demonstrated success of meeting revenue quotas.
- Demonstrated success in developing and growing deep and lasting client relationships, particularly at the senior most levels.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills.
- Contract management and negotiation with corporate procurement teams.
- Experience operating in a business that is growing very quickly, particularly with challenger brands and disruptive technologies.
- Highly motivated, self-starter, driver of change and transformation.
- Bachelor’s degree; Masters preferred.

Salary offering between $120K - $140K depending on experience and skills.
