Metrea Management provides central services to 10 global business units via its support capability teams: Operations, Solutions, Strategy, Legal, and Finance teams. The engagement team, of which this role is an integral part, sits within Solutions.
The Senior Events Associate is responsible for leading and coordinating the delivery of key Metrea engagements - both internal and external, as well as enabling and supporting the Enterprise with the delivery of high-quality engagements through shared best practice, tooling and resources.
Essential Functions Statements

  • Tool, build, and manage a schedule (short-range and long-range) that integrates with our CRM to enable systematic tracking of events and engagements and to enable strategic decision making (prioritization and alignment to company-wide objectives and milestones).
  • Support with the development of systems, frameworks and processes (blueprint) necessary for the delivery of high-quality internal and external events and make accessible Enterprise-wide, including the creation/updating of all related SOPs.
  • Successfully execute the delivery of key Enterprise engagements and ensure post-event data capture, follow-up tasking, and wash-ups.
  • Operate as a subject matter expert, supporting the Capability Units and the Support Capabilities with event delivery as requested and required.
  • In conjunction with the Comms team, establish and run Metrea's Alumni network.
  • Manage key contractor relationships related to event delivery and associated collateral.
  • Support the wider Solutions effort and work closely with the Strategy Group to develop relationships with key external stakeholders, e.g. Govts, think tanks, key actors and influencers, media etc.
Competency Statements
  • 5 years of events experience, including but not restricted to the delivery of large-scale trade shows and conferences, as well as smaller scale/narrowcast engagements, e.g. dinners, roundtables etc.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a demonstrable ability to identify problems and systematically provide effective solutions
  • Familiarity with CRM systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Desire to innovate and improve processes through automation and workflow management
  • Able to work effectively in a time sensitive environment, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across internal and external teams

Office based, with some US-internal and international travel.
Physical Demands
This is a largely sedentary role; however, some physical abilities may be required.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require. Non-Exempt employees may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager.

Travel: Some US-internal and international travel.
