Topcon Healthcare Inc. Senior Marketing Managers (SMM) are the product and market experts for their assigned product portfolios. They are responsible to create and execute a comprehensive downstream product strategy to help drive sales and increase profitability of assigned products. In addition, Senior Marketing Managers are responsible for creating portfolio-related marketing materials, collecting competitive and market analysis, and representing the Voice of the Customer. They must communicate market opportunities and gaps to both Product Management and Leadership.
Harmony is at the core of Topcon's product strategy and execution for retinal disease-related products, including but not limited to OCT, fundus imaging, CDSS and AI applications. The ability to combine feedback from Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Business Development, KOL's and prospective customers to drive the strategic vision and lead the commercialization of new features and products is critical to success in this role.
Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise Marketing Manager(s) for assigned portfolio
  • Formulate and implement clear product vision and strategy for selling Topcon Healthcare's complete solution including Harmony, CDSS and all other applications that align with overall business goals
  • Develop and implement annual marketing plans to drive product line success
  • Perform ongoing market, pricing, and competitive analyses and recommend enhancements as needed
  • Foster KOL relationships and a deep understanding of customer needs and business models to infuse voice of the customer into company plans
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by proactively soliciting feedback
  • Effectively commercialize new products and product updates
  • Create and execute commercialization plans
  • Create strong positioning statements and selling messages
  • Develop and execute on publication and podium strategy to support product awareness
  • Produce effective sales aids and clinical marketing collateral to support selling efforts
  • Supporting sales and customer training efforts with product content and deliver training as needed
  • Develop project briefs (including messaging) for key projects related to assigned product portfolio
  • Deliver information for leadership by preparing special analyses and reports as requested
  • Support product line demonstrations and sales efforts at key trade shows
  • Maintain market knowledge by attending trade shows, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies, and completing relevant professional courses.
  • This job requires 30% overnight travel, often including weekends.
Preferred qualities and experiences
  • High-level analytical skills and an ability to think strategically to solve complex business problems
  • Experience with medical imaging, EHR and PACS systems
  • Strong understanding of system, device and application interoperability
  • Experience with SaaS, PaaS, cloud applications and computing (Microsoft Azure) with knowledge of security and compliance as it relates to healthcare
  • Ability to engage in in-depth clinical conversations as it relates to product
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and update priorities as needed
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate well with Executives, Sales Personnel, and customers
  • Strong clinical writing skills
  • BA/BS required; MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of medical industry or eyecare clinic experience
  • 10+ years of product management or product marketing experience

Base Pay:
Expected Base Pay Range: $145,000 to $175,000 Annualized
The base pay range included is a projected hiring range for a position, level and potential work location(s) listed. Topcon provides the compensation range that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule.
Bonus eligible:
In addition to base pay, compensation for this position includes eligibility for a 15% annual bonus.
