Die Cast Manager
Location: Hercules, CA - RELOCATION ASSISTANCE PROVIDED AS NEEDED
Hours: Full-time Monday - Friday; flexible shifts
Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000 per year with potential for a sign-on and annual bonuses
What you are:
A skilled and experienced Die Cast Manager with a background in aluminum alloy die casting and trim operations. You excel in leading teams, optimizing processes, and ensuring production meets quality standards. You are proactive, safety-conscious, and ready to take on a dynamic role.
What you will be doing:
- Oversee die casting and trim operations, managing activities, work assignments, and support functions.
- Develop, configure, and optimize die casting processes from start-up to mass production.
- Monitor equipment conditions and recommend repairs or new equipment purchases.
- Conduct process simulations and perform risk assessments.
- Establish best practices to enhance production efficiency and output quality.
- Manage production schedules, ensuring supplies are available for die casting needs.
- Train, support, and supervise die cast operators to meet performance standards.
- Maintain compliance with safety protocols, including lockout-tag out and PPE use.
- Coordinate maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all die casting equipment.
- Collaborate with HR on staffing needs and performance management.
- Generate and present reports on production metrics, such as inventory and energy usage.
What you bring:
- Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in aluminum alloy die casting.
- 2+ years of experience with trim and finish operations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage a diverse team.
- Willingness to work different shifts and overtime as needed.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to implement effective strategies.
- Proficiency in ensuring safety compliance and following industry best practices.
