SUMMARY & MISSION STATEMENT:
Midwest Food Bank (MFB) is a $450M non-profit organization with 10 divisions in the U.S. and 2 operations internationally. MFB operates with $70M in assets and an annual organizational operating budget of $17M to distribute over $450M in food and disaster relief boxes to 2,200 agencies.

JOB ROLE PURPOSE & SUMMARY:
The Agency Coordinator serves as the primary contact for the division's partner agencies and is responsible for agency selection, scheduling, record maintenance. The Agency Coordinator fosters agency relationships through proactive communication, onboarding, regular meetings, and visits. The Agency Coordinator participates in key community groups to cultivate positive relationships and assists in leading and supporting aspects of volunteer involvement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain and build relationships with 240 food agencies with support of Executive Director.
  • Facilitate communication for all division partner agencies, including responding to new agency requests online, verbally, and in-person.
  • Work with Operations role to maintain and assess agency distribution schedules, tracking, data entry, and paperwork for on- and off-site distributions.
  • Cultivate existing, potential, and new partner agencies through frequent communication, community involvement, and networking.
  • Identify, develop, and support volunteers to conduct regular off-site agency and distribution visits.
  • Communicate agency statistics to the Executive Director to aid in grant writing and reporting and community reporting and marketing.
  • Verify audit all annual agency meetings and certifications in a precise and timely manner.
  • Assist with general office support as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with all MFB policies, procedures, and rules and with all contractual obligations, regulatory standards, and relevant laws.
  • Recruit, identify, train, and continue to nurture volunteers in support of job role.
  • Network with peers locally and nationally and across the MFB organization.
  • Execute other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2-years relevant work experience, 5-years desired.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Human Services, or related field.
  • Experience using interpersonal skills to influence a community and maintain a strong brand image.
  • Demonstrated ability creating a team-oriented environment and achieving results through others.
  • Proven initiative, problem-solving, organization, and time management skills.
  • Superior professional communications, verbal, written, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to use technology or learn computer skills, such as Office 365 and Salesforce.
  • Willingness to participate in training that may include development of professional skills, education on MFB's policies and procedures, and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to address conflict with grace, putting into practice MFB values to foster collaboration and understanding within the team.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer in an office setting; periods of movement in a warehouse setting.
  • Travel to agencies off-site; minimal out-of-state travel as needed; infrequent evening and weekend obligations.
WORK HOURS:
  • 20 - 30 hours/week based on the requirements of the role.
PAY: $21.39 - $26.73 per hour
