Job Overview
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer who is responsible for guaranteeing the reliability, scalability, and security of our product solutions. Working closely with cross-functional teams, this role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining resilient DevOps pipelines and infrastructure to support our software development lifecycle. Expertise in cloud services, automation, and infrastructure as code is essential to drive ongoing enhancements and streamline efficiency throughout our software delivery process focused on excellence to customers.

Work Location
All candidates must be a resident of the US. Preferably, we are seeking candidates who reside within a 50-mile radius of a local FJA office in Denver CO, Boca Raton FL, or Midtown NYC. However, candidates who live outside of these areas but possess extraordinary knowledge, skills and experience which tightly align with this position may be considered if they reside in one of the following alternate locations: CO, FL, GA, MA, MN, NC, NJ, NY, OR, PA, TX, or WA. Team members who reside within a 50-mile radius of a local FJA office are required to be present in-office/onsite a minimum of 4 days per calendar month (ideally 1 day/week) and frequency may increase based on business requirements.
Work Schedule
This position requires availability during operational hours as determined by specific business and client needs that may include different time zone(s) than an individual’s physical location. Dependent upon business requirements, schedule flexibility with and without advance notice is required as this position may necessitate working additional days and hours outside of the employee’s regular work schedule.
Travel
Flexibility to travel as business needs dictate is required. Domestic overnight travel will be required to other FJA and/or client offices; frequency varies between roles, departments, and/or projects.
Engineering Environment
Our development team specializes in building Java applications that are optimized for performance, security, and scalability. Experience with a robust set of libraries, frameworks, and technologies will make you a great fit for our team. A sample of the typical technologies we use include Spring Framework, Hibernate, Microservices, RESTful API, Reactive Programming, Cloud Computing, Natural Language Processing, Node.js, React, Docker, Kubernetes, GraphQL, and more! Additionally, these positions work closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, designers, and other engineers.
Minimum Qualifications
Education : A High School Diploma or equivalent is required; college degree in computer science, software engineering or related field is preferred. Any of the following certifications are a plus: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, Certified Docker Associate, SAFe Agile DevOps Practitioner (SDP) and/or SAFe Agile Software Engineering (ASE).
Professional Experience : Minimum 5 Years recent full-time DevOps Engineer experience required:
- Cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins/Jenkinsfile, GitLab CI, or TravisCI.
- Monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, ELK Stack, or Datadog.
- Scripting and programming languages such as Python, Groovy, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Infrastructure tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
- Containerization (Docker) emphasizing design for portability, scalability, fault tolerance, etc., with orchestration facilitating deployment, scaling, provisioning, etc. with Kubernetes, Fargate, Docker Swarms, etc.
- Other technologies: Java, Spring Framework, Microservices, RESTful API, React.js, and GraphQL.
- Healthcare compliance standards such as HIPAA, HITRUST, or GDPR.
- Networking, security, and compliance requirements in healthcare environments.
- Large complex software implementation and integration projects utilizing Agile development methodologies, continuous integration, and delivery within centralized and decentralized environments.

Driving a DevOps Culture Around Clean DevOps Principles : You champion and follow clean DevOps practices focusing on clarity, simplicity, and readable code. You lead by example, reviewing infrastructure critically to ensure it adheres to our high standards of readability and quality. You motivate other team members by fostering an environment that values best practices, encourages, and demonstrates integration of clean DevOps principles into daily work.
Efficient Utilization of Best Practices : Your application of DevOps engineering best practices optimizes productivity without compromising on quality. You leverage your knowledge of DevOps methodologies and IaC optimization strategies to deliver high-quality solutions efficiently.
DevOps Unit Testing : An ardent supporter of unit testing, you understand its essential role in ensuring code quality and development efficiency.
Proactive Mentorship of Less Tenured Peers : You identify and foster emerging talents within the team, offering learning opportunities and personalized coaching. Hiring Pay Range
Boca Raton, FL: 100,000 - 125,000 | Denver, CO: 116,136 - 135,000 | Midtown NYC: 119,800 - 145,000. The stated hiring pay range is our good faith belief at the time of this posting. Final compensation placement will vary based on multiple factors such as experience, knowledge, geographic location, competencies, and skill level as well as internal equity.
Bonus Compensation
Discretionary annual bonus amounts are not guaranteed and are subject to change based on company and individual performance. Discretionary annual bonuses, when paid, are determined by the leadership team, and is based upon an individual going above and beyond the scope of the job role.
