Recruiting Specialist

Spears Manufacturing, headquartered in Sylmar California, a world leader in the manufacturing and distribution of plastic valves, fittings, and pipe since 1969. We have an immediate opening for a Recruiting Specialist!

This is a career position with a national company that has over 24 plants and distribution centers throughout the country, specializing in manufacturing the world’s finest PVC, CPVC Plastic Fittings, Valves, and Pipe.

This position requires daily attendance at the Spears Manufacturing Sylmar, CA Facility, (not a remote position).

Pay will be commensurate with experience and skill level.

Job Description:

• This individual will post and respond to applicants for the various job openings they advertised and tell them about the company, the opportunities and the long term benefits of a career with the Spears Manufacturing Company.
• This individual will be responsible to review the resumes to make sure the skills sets are what we need for the position(s) applied for and screen the applicants first by phone and/or email and then in person.
• This individual should be able to sell the sizzle without making promises that aren’t accurate.
• This individual will screen applicants before forwarding them to the department heads, scheduling and attending final interviews.
• This individual will conduct group orientations as needed with individuals once they have come on board.

Minimum Requirements:

• Networking skills, Knowledge of many Job Posting sites, negotiating costs, and tracking effectiveness.
• Industrial Savvy, Manufacturing Processes, Some college preferred, Real world job experience equally considered.
