Job Description:
Apex Systems is working with an exciting Telecommunications client of ours on a long term opportunity for a Wireless WiFi Architect.
Title: Wireless WiFi Architect
Location: Remote, some limited travel to Ft. Lauderdale, FL
Duration: 6-month contract to hire
Pay Range: $65-90/hour on w2 basis (please note this is dependent on experience)
Required Experience:
- 5+ years of experience - WiFi/Wireless Architecture/Design
- WiFi Testing background - WiFi protocols, etc
- Design Tools - at least 1 of the following: iBwave, Ekahau, Air Magnet
- Meraki or Ruckus (Hopefully both)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Determine client requirements and execute all wireless projects from conception to launch.
- Perform expert and detailed audits of wireless networks and ensure viability with network and recommend solutions for incompatibility.
- Monitor efficient installation of wireless networking products at customers' sites and ensure efficiency of various engineering work.
- Plan for designs/projects to deliver excellent and sustainable quality of services.
- Draft and publish policies, procedures and best practices.
- Perform lab and test designs and functions of all wireless networking equipment.
- Audit network designs for over-design or under-design.
- Properly scope requirements for projects.
- Collaborate cross functionally with other departments to ensure best practices and innovation.
- Train and work with operational staff members.
