Avaya Aura CM Technician

Tyto Athene is searching for an experienced Avaya Aura CM Technician

Responsibilities:

• Capable of performing advance troubleshooting and system restoration.
• Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Avaya Aura CM as well as all moves, adds and changes.
• Installation and repair of station cables.
• Maintenance, repair, configuration and operation of the telephone switch and related equipment.
• Installation of cables and wiring between the TELCO demarcation point and FMP-owned and BPMI-owned telecommunications equipment.
• Housekeeping of telecommunications office areas, equipment rooms and storage areas.
• Record keeping.
• Investigation and resolution of equipment alarms.
• Investigation and resolution of trouble calls.
• Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of telecommunications equipment (including station equipment).
• Creation, maintenance and deletion of voice mail accounts.
• Experienced in assessing user needs, translating those needs to identify the nature of the trouble and applying skills to rectify the error condition on the system.
• Provide insight into contractual deliverables such as method or procedures (MOP), test and acceptance plans (TAP) and after-action reports (AAR).
• Provides input on internal processes to assist with service improvement initiatives.

Required:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in advance troubleshooting and system maintenance of the Avaya Aura CM.
• Strong computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
• Working knowledge of routers and switches is preferred.
• Working knowledge of telephony, UC, VoIP and SIP and the ability to support as necessary.
• Ability to successfully handle multiple priorities simultaneously is required.
• Must be a US citizen.
• Ability to work flexible/extended hours to include on call rotation is required.
• Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds if required.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• The ability to pass a background check and obtain a Department of Defense secret/Q clearance is required.

Desired:

• Experience with the US Federal Government.
• Current Avaya CM certification(s)
• Experience with current DoD Information Assurance policies, procedures, and techniques.

Clearance: Top Secret Clearance Required
