Job Function: The commercial lending/credit intern will perform assigned duties and special projects related to the commercial bank function.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Learning the basics of commercial lending and services
  • Financial analysis, research and credit file maintenance
  • Developing sales presentations using “Windows” software such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word and other means
  • Maintaining loan files through all phases of the lending process with respect to documentation
  • Work with main and field offices to help process new and existing loans
  • May order appropriate insurance, title commitments, coordinate appraisal orders and evaluations as required

Job Qualifications/ Required Skills and Abilities:
  • College student that will enter Fall semester as Senior that has successfully completed 90 hours (120 assumed completion) pursuing a business/computer related degree. Minimum GPA 3.0 in core courses.

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, ability to work with customers, bankers and other divisions
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Exhibit and maintain high degree of professionalism
  • Maintain high degree of confidentiality and integrity
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent follow through and time management skills
  • Strong PC, web, database/Excel
  • MUST exhibit good business acumen
  • MUST possess a “can do” customer-service attitude/philosophy
