**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)
**Job Specialty:** Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
**Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified
**Experience:** Intermediate or progressive care experience required
**License:** Willing to obtain required state license
**Certifications:** ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
**Must-Have:**
- ICU and PCU or ICU and IMCU experience
- Ability to read and interpret rhythms and cardiac drips
- Cardiac experience
- Experience with radial and groin PCI access and bleed management
- Experience with temporary pacing
**Job Description:**
- Apply the nursing process to the care of patients within the RN scope of practice as defined by the relevant State Board of Nursing
- Teach patients and their significant others effectively
- Document patient care in the medical record accurately
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate overall care of the patient
- Manage a nursing ratio that is primarily 1:4 in MCU and 1:2 or 1:1 in ICU based on patient acuity
- Capable of handling overflow situations with a ratio of 1:3
- Capable of managing post PCI/STEMI or other cath lab patients
- Experience with cardiac procedures including bleed management
- Familiarity with the use of temporary pacing, with preference for experience with balloon pump and Impella
- Work across both ICU and PCU units as required
- Weekend schedule to be determined by the facility
