US Market Operations is responsible for short-term forecasting and operational execution of the LEGO Group’s US business. A customer-focused organization, the department collaborates with internal colleagues and external customers to deliver BU priorities and customer goals.

Within US Market Operations, the Inventory Replenishment Team is accountable for optimizing retail inventory flow and ownership. By engaging with the retailer’s operations team, and collaborating with internal functions such as Demand Planning, Customer Planning, Supply Chain, and Sales, the Replenishment Manager works to improve retail instocks while minimizing excess or obsolete inventory at retail.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Own relationship with inventory replenishment contact at assigned retailer(s)
  • Facilitate business-to-business alignment on by-item consumer sales and shipment expectations
  • Collaborate with retailer contact to understand assumptions behind forecasts that differ from The LEGO Group’s
  • Bring customer perspective and assumptions to US Demand Planning
  • Drive alignment by influencing both internal and external forecasts toward most likely scenario
  • Support retailer replenishment contact in ordering to the aligned-on forecasts
  • Take action as needed to bridge the gap between the customer’s actual order and their ideal order
  • Work with the retailer to root cause and resolve ordering issues
  • Secure orders for new product launches and trade promotions
  • Manage monthly shipments to the aligned-on plans
  • Provide appropriate transparency to the retailer on projected impact of inventory shortages, communicating with the timing and level of detail that meet the retailer’s needs
  • Influence retailer replenishment tactics to support operational strategy and deliver the joint plan
  • Provide replenishment-relevant input into Customer Collaborative Plans
  • As part of the Inventory Replenishment team, advise the internal Allocation team on where to flow available quantities of scarce inventory within the US BU, with visibility to impact on customer instocks and consumer sales
  • Influence execution on outgoing items to support consumer sales and minimize markdowns
  • Monitor DC/store-level inventory coverage on outgoing items
  • As needed, make recommendations to the retailer on when to turn off store-level replenishment
  • Identify issues with DC/store-level inventory flow; partner with retailer to root cause and corrective action
  • Collaborate with Order Management and Distribution teams as needed to ensure that orders ship as planned
  • Support the development and improvement of team dashboarding using Tableau and/or Power BI

Do you have what it takes?

  • 3-5 years experience in Inventory Replenishment, Demand Planning, Customer Planning, or Supply Chain Management
  • Demonstrated ability to establish positive relationships with, collaborate with, and influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to generate actionable insights from data using data analysis tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Microsoft Excel
  • Results orientation
  • Understanding of the end-to-end value chain
  • Ability to plan and execute in an omni-channel market
  • Verbal and written fluency in English
  • Experience working with major US retailers
  • Experience creating data visualizations and dashboards

Boston office based position; minimum commutable days to office is 3 days per week.
