Friendship Village Tempe is seeking an on-call receptionist to join our team!

Schedule: Mondays 2:00pm-8:00pm, Saturdays 8:30am-2:00pm and Sundays 8:30am-2:00pm
Pay: $16.85- $18.54 per hour; DOE
Summary: The Receptionist is responsible for answering and transferring all incoming telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner, giving information, giving direction and other appropriate assistance to residents, staff, guests and vendors. Perform a variety of other clerical duties as assigned. Communicate with Supervisor and Executive Assistant in order to maintain the highest degree of professionalism at the reception desk.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School graduate preferred.
- Ability to communicate efficiently using proper speech and grammar, pleasant voice and well-modulated tone.
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions in English.
- Three (3) months to twelve (12) months previous experience as a receptionist.
- Typing and computer experience required.
- Excel and Word Processing experience required.
- Requires the use of sound judgment with the ability to react in a positive, pleasant and spontaneous manner, to evaluate and respond appropriately and quickly to the needs of residents, staff, visitors and vendors. Must be able to handle a multiplicity of routine tasks efficiently, following specific instructions carefully and general instructions completely.
- Requires continuous mental and visual attention to diversified operations. Must be able to function efficiently despite distractions and interruptions. Requires manual coordination to operate switchboard and other business equipment.
- Awareness and some responsibility for safety of others.
- Responsible for own work. Has contact with outside personnel, furnishing and obtaining information. Requires a cooperative and courteous attitude despite simultaneous demands. Work with some confidential data.
