The Blue Fiber team is recruiting passionate software engineers and professionals to join a full-stack development team to advance Blue Origin's vision. As part of the development team, you will use the latest architectures and technologies in AWS to accelerate the development and adoption of multi-tenanted solutions across Blue Origin in service of Blue's mission and beyond. This position requires a passion for innovation, a bias for action, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design and help lead the development and maintenance of multi-tenanted Blue Fiber solutions for new and existing capabilities.
  • Participate in the development of the architecture runway and actively work with the product owner and other stakeholders for sprint planning, backlog management, and other key agile activities.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of multi-tenanted Blue Fiber solutions.
  • Contribute to standards and effective practices and coach and mentor fellow and junior engineers.
  • Member of a full-stack software development team.
  • Actively participate in the different ceremonies as a team member.
  • Contribute to standards and best practices and coach and mentor fellow and junior engineers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of experience as a software engineer developing enterprise-grade applications with at least 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role, collaborating with multiple other teams.
  • Experience working on a full-stack software development team in an agile development (Scrum preferred) with at least 3 years working in one or more of the following areas:
  • At least 3 years of experience with agile development practices for the full software development lifecycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, security, testing, continuous integration and deployment, and operation.
  • Experience with modern microservice-based software architectures (Python, Javascript, Java preferred) and containerized or serverless environments, with exposure to the full stack.
  • Experience developing services in public clouds (AWS preferred) with infrastructure-as-code.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, communicate effectively, and develop creative solutions to complex problems.
  • A passion for innovation, learning, and sharing knowledge.
  • Experience in API and Data engineering with relational and non-relational persistent storages.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as code (with CDK or similar), CI/CD pipelines, and security controls.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired:

  • AWS Cloud Practitioner or Associate Certification.
  • Experience with Python, Javascript, and Java.
  • Experience with API and data-intensive applications.
  • Manufacturing and/or Aerospace experience.

Compensation:

Compensation range for on-site CO applicants is $157,053-$230,345.

Compensation range for on-site WA applicants is $170,805-$250,514.

Compensation range for on-site CA applicants is $170,805-$250,514.

Other site ranges may differ.
