Our primary function is to offer continuous nursing, medical, and other health and social services on a 24-hour basis, under physician directed care and RN supervision.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Rooming patients for providers, nurse visits and labs.
  • Obtaining vitals, chief complaint, medication reconciliation, obtaining social, surgical and family history.
  • Triaging calls and voicemails.
  • Prior authorization medications.
  • Calling patients with test results.
  • Documenting in EMR.
  • Administering injections and vaccinations.
  • Answering phone calls.
  • Drawing labs.
  • Performing point of care testing example rapid strep & flu swab, urinalysis, pregnancy.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE - NURSE PRACTITIONER

  • Master's Degree in Nursing and a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner curriculum

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE

  • National Certification as a nurse practitioner by one of the following certifying bodies:
    • American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
    • American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
  • Advance Practice Registered Nurse License through the State of Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations
  • Current State of Illinois Controlled Substance License and Current State of Illinois DEA.
  • BLS Certification
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE - PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT
  • Graduate of an accredited physician assistant curriculum
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE
  • Certification by passing the Physician Assistant National Certification Exam (PANCE)
  • Licensure to practice in the State of Illinois.
  • Control Substance License and DEA License.
  • One year of experience in health care setting preferred.
  • BLS Certification
