As a member of our team, you will conduct casework interviews with clients and their family members to obtain information for formulating program/service eligibility and case status. You will identify social, economic and physical needs of clients; assess client's support systems, available community resources and other factors to plan, develop, and implement an appropriate service plan. In this position, you will also refer clients to appropriate agencies and resources and advocate for or assist the client in obtaining such services. You will provide basic intervention and client and family counseling, as needed. This role requires preparation of complete and accurate case notes and other written correspondence, such as reports, statistics, and summaries.This is an open and continuous recruitment; scheduling dates will vary depending on when the application was received and reviewed by Human Resources.Social Worker I: $28.11 - $43.55 HourlySocial Worker II: $30.32 - $47.03 HourlyThe Social Worker I is a training underfill position, upon successful completion of the training program the successful candidate will be non-competitively promoted to Social Worker II.This examination will establish an Open Competitive Eligibility list to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months at either level or may be extended as needed by Human Resources.Human Resources reserves the right to call only the most qualified applicants to the selection process.Some positions may be used to fill term Limited-Permanent positions. An internship or fieldwork related to the profession is desirable or a field related to the work.Social Worker II - In addition to the above, two (2) years of full-time professional level casework experience in a social service agency. Possession of an advanced degree in social work may be substituted for one of the years of experience outlined above.Qualifying education and experience must be clearly documented in the “Education” and “Work Experience” sections of the application.
