Job Description

Job Title: Web Server Admin

Duration: 3 months with potential for extension

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Set up and configuration of Enterprise Level IIS Web Forms.
  • Management of Individual Application configuration, patching coordination for IIS and the supported application, as well as supporting high-availability and load management.
  • Support Web Traffic management and load testing of new applications.
  • Support IIS configurations with .Net versions and other Application frameworks.
  • Automate setup of environments using scripting languages including but not limited to PowerShell.
  • Oversee the SharePoint Server infrastructure, user access, and application deployment – taking the lead role in implementing SharePoint across the organization.
  • Support the installation, configuration, security, operation, and maintenance of all web portal servers, equipment, and software related to SharePoint infrastructure in SharePoint 2013/2016.
  • Participate in planning and execution of tasks related to the evaluation of new SharePoint based initiatives (Upgraded Versions, Third-Party Solutions, Integration with additional Enterprise Systems) in SharePoint 2013/2016.
  • Develop, configure and maintain document libraries, enterprise lists, and site collections.
  • Perform typical system administrative activities such as site creation, user training, backup, restore, and issue resolution for SharePoint 2013/2016 environment.
  • Coordinate with divisions in standardizing and optimizing the way data/information is stored and retrieved.
  • Maintain and administer Microsoft SharePoint server 2013/2016 both on-prem and in the cloud, including daily monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance analysis; as well as perform as the SharePoint Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Provide technical guidance to the team in the technologies related to the development and support of an Enterprise SharePoint environment.

Requirements/Skills

  • At least 5+ years of proven work experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience working in multi-tiered server environments.
  • Extensive systems administration experience on the Windows Server platform.
  • Experience with UrbanCode Deploy, Jenkins or similar deployment automation tools.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as PowerShell, Perfmon, ProcMon, NetMon.
  • Experience in web infrastructure design and operations including TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, STP, load balancing, clustering, firewall rules, failover, monitoring, diagnostics, and performance tuning.
  • Experience architecting Microsoft Internet/Intranet solutions.
  • Possess high aptitude for problem solving and troubleshooting.
  • Experience hosting, deploying, and managing websites in Azure or any other cloud platform.
  • Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS).
  • Experience with Container or VM based hosting is a plus.

Position Description/Responsibilities

Job Description:

  • We are looking for a contract resource to be part of our Web Server Services team. This resource will be responsible for the solution delivery, application deployment, and application operations via scalable web server environments, including our internal SharePoint environment and other high volume websites. This resource is expected to work closely with the development team leveraging Dev/Ops and Agile Frameworks.

Additional Information

Work schedule: Full-time (9–5, M–F), with need for occasional off-hour support.
