WFI International Division of Bonney Forge, the leading manufacturer and supplier of integrally reinforced branch connection fittings to the power, oil and gas, chemical, and other industries, is looking for a Heat Treat Forge Shop Supervisor. Primary Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Forge Shop and HT Furnaces.
  • Must know how and be able to operate Forge Press and HT furnaces operation and calibration.
  • Schedule job orders to meet customer demand.
  • Oversee the efficiency and productivity of Forge and HT areas to drive waste reduction.
  • Evaluate dies periodically to determine repair or replacement needs.
  • Ensure personnel have all required PPE and tools to work with.
  • Train and develop the Assistant Supervisor to back him up during his absences.
  • Develop personnel to ensure technical coverage for equipment operation.
  • Support manufacturing flow by communicating adherence to plan and/or shortfalls to plan.
  • Develop recovery plans as needed through resources and equipment availability.
  • Conduct safety meetings and direct report trainings.
  • Calculate and fill Forge orders in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that forging equipment and fixtures are adequately maintained to guarantee the safety of people and quality of the product. Schedule die repairs or replacements accordingly.

Basic Requirements:

  • 2-year minimum supervisory experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • 2-year minimum experience on forging processes, setup, and running forge presses and Heat Treat Batch Furnaces required.
  • Experience on HT and Forging using different metals alloys properties.
  • Experience on different forging operations and their setting up mechanisms.
  • Open and close die forging experience required.
  • Familiar with forging defects and how they can be prevented.
  • Able to read blueprints and use measuring instruments like vernier calipers.
  • Familiar with MRP system and MS Office.

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor preferred.
