Job Summary:
Working under minimal supervision of the Regional VP Sales, referring only exceptional problems and issues for management review or approval, the Director of Sales is responsible for growing the Company's sales within an assigned territory. The Director of Sales is a member of Connection's management team and plays an important role in setting growth plans, executing the plans, and tracking the success of the plans. The Director works daily in the effort to develop and deliver Connection's value proposition, motivates the team to generate sales and grow the customer base, while also developing and maintaining strong business relationships. With the team, the Director develops and executes key account strategies with a common goal of building Connection's sales to exceed quarterly goals and quotas.
Where applicable, this position assures departmental processes are performed in compliance with applicable Sarbanes-Oxley controls.
Qualifications:
- Creates a short term and a long-term growth plan for the Sales team.
- Produces monthly and quarterly accurate forecasting.
- Maximizes both present and long-term sales and gross profits.
- Plans, organizes, directs, controls and measures the team to meet their monthly, quarterly and annual objectives.
- Achieves forecasted sales by following written plan of action.
- Recruits and develops the most well-trained, professional salesforce.
- Inspects each team member's performance and compares it with their objectives.
- Provides coaching, counseling, motivating and offering advice, support and information to help the team meet their sales objectives.
- Attends and participates in weekly sales meetings, as well as the weekly Boiler Room calls, weekly management meetings; Forecast Calls; and Dashboard calls.
- Performs all other duties or special projects as assigned.
