Program Manager – Upward Bound Math Science

Position Overview

The Boston University Upward Bound Math Science Program Manager has both management and direct service responsibilities including:

1. Development of the program’s curriculum and STEM related activities; such as Summer Science Wednesdays and High School Vacation Week Laboratories;
2. Hiring, training, and supervising program teachers in collaboration with the Upward Bound program manager;
3. Providing college application , financial aid application, and academic advising and support services to participants;
4. Arranging college visits;
5. Conferring with program teachers and teachers at target high schools regarding student achievement;
6. Management of participant academic assessments;
7. Connecting across departments and units at BU and the community through website content creation and social media;
8. Supporting project director in the preparation of project reports, participant recruitment, and liaising with parents of project participants and staff at target schools.
