Job Description:

Crowe is currently seeking a Managing Director to join our Estate, Gift & Trust practice. This role provides an opportunity to join a specialized practice where you will use your expertise in estate, gift and trust taxation to provide consulting, compliance and controversy services to complex ultra-high net worth private clients. You will help lead and manage our growth alongside the Estate, Gift & Trust Partner and play an active role in developing team members. This role will require the oversight of multiple client service teams and the proven ability to plan, direct, and execute tax projects with a pro-active focus. Flexible on geography.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Provide leadership and tax technical expertise for consulting, compliance and controversy engagements involving complex issues relating to ultra-high net worth private clients.
  • Leadership of client service teams and multiple projects in a fast-paced and interactive team environment with the goal of exceeding client expectations.
  • Recognition and mitigation of risk issues relating to estate, gift & trust specialty.
  • Developing client service staff and serve as a role model, providing coaching, mentoring, and training.
  • Awareness and compliance to the firm's standards and policies.
  • Integrate and leverage firmwide thought leadership efforts in developing the market for tax services.
  • Thought leadership including speaking, publishing, and teaching.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant or JD required.
  • 10+ years of experience in public accounting, law or family office.
  • Strong tax technical experience, including complex issues relating to estate, gift & trust.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively work with clients to continuously anticipate and resolve issues.
  • Leadership and team building experience.
  • Strong collaboration skills.
  • Self-driven and organized with experience building process and improving efficiencies.
