Job Requirements / Description

Job Summary:
Responsible for the installation, ongoing maintenance, operations, integration and support of systems which support departments with specific knowledge of software and associated systems. Participates in activities associated with work flow analysis, data collection, database customization, user training, reporting and go-live support for software systems. Responsibilities also include database maintenance and optimization, security, disaster recovery, and installation updates to existing software. Provides software modifications in support of existing processes and produces new software and processes as needed. Troubleshoots critical business processes in assigned areas and repairs or recovers from software and hardware failures. Contributes to and maintains standards and procedures, research's solutions and recommends approaches to leverage resources and automate tasks. Responsible for daily system monitoring for integrity and availability, log review, and verification of scheduled jobs, including backups. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate with customers/users to develop an understanding of their business objectives, application system needs and process flows. Must be familiar with command line operations in unix and Windows environments, programming/scripting languages, and database operations and architecture. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education/Skills
Minimum of Associate Degree or equivalent education or extensive work experience in the direct applications/systems.
Work Experience:
Five or more years' experience in IS required; healthcare preferred. Required to have a working
knowledge of customer departments operations including software/systems and be able to use an
analytical approach. Organization ability and strong communication skills are required.
Mental Demands:
Exceptional oral and written skills are required. The individual must have the ability to perform as a
team member, cooperate with others, manage conflict, prioritize multiple tasks, exhibit leadership and
demonstrate self-motivation. Ability to understand and analyze oral and written statements concerning a variety of business and technical problem. Ability to take orders and follow directions precisely and demonstrate initiative. Ability to perform duties under various levels of stress & time restraints.
