Digital Consultants is seeking a Desktop/Lifecycle Team Lead to join our contract providing the Army Communication Electronics Command (CECOM) with IT Support Services. This position will be responsible for leading a team of 14 full-time IT support personnel, who will provide technical support, system administration support, imaging, and lifecycle support to CECOM.

Duties to include:

  • Serve as Government POC for Administrative Communications and Coordination of work
  • Support the installation Network Enterprise Center (NEC) in monitoring NIPRnet and SIPRnet network activity and user rights and privileges.
  • Provide desktop service support on NIPR and SIPR networks or in a standalone, non-networked operating environment. Comply with the NEC network rules and regulations when performing contractual responsibilities.
  • Support services provide technical support and tenant desktop administration support for desktop operating system environment, Army Gold Master image, COTS applications, and Government issued end-user devices (e.g., tablets).
  • Customer support response, troubleshooting, and problem resolution will adhere to enhanced performance standards. In addition to required system administrator IA functions, desktop support duties include but are not limited to:
    • Desktop software support
    • Respond and resolve help desk tickets
    • Install and support Government furnished software and hardware
    • Service all tickets for installation and replacement of printer toner cartridges
    • Service all tickets for installation/replacement of printer fuser kits
    • Provide IAVA/STIG compliance for all supported laptops, desktops, and printers
    • Analyze network failures
    • Analyze new hardware performance and issues
    • Install network Multi-Function Printers (MFP)
    • Perform hard drive sanitization as required
    • Provide written evaluations, procedures, checklists, and instructions for CIO approval
    • Provide technical advice and IT Acquisition planning support
    • Provide off-site support
    • Provide rapid response for Very Important Personnel (VIP)
    • Transfer of user data

Requirements:

  • US Citizenship Required
  • Secret clearance

Certifications:

  • DoD 8570.01 M Baseline Certification Required (CSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP and CCNA-Security+ or equivalent as specified in the DoD 8570.01 M)
  • DoD 8570.01 M Computing Environment Certified (MCDST: Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician or equivalent as specified in DoD 8570.01 M) IAT – II Certification
  • Five or more years of related experience
