Context/ ROLE

As a Data Modeler, you will play a pivotal role in supporting one of our major transformation programs. The role involves designing, creating, deploying, and managing the program's data assets, ensuring that data is well-structured and accessible. You will also be responsible for defining how data is stored, consumed, integrated, and managed within the program, as well as its interfaces with other applications and systems.

YOUR ROLE

  • Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models, ensuring traceability through comprehensive data dictionaries and taxonomies.
  • Design and optimize data models for the operational systems, analytics, and data warehouses to support the program's data strategy.
  • Translate business requirements into technical data solutions by collaborating with business architects, data analysts, solution architects, and other key stakeholders.
  • Oversee and streamline data integration across systems, ensuring efficient data flows and adherence to best practices.
  • Work closely with data owners, solution architects, and development teams to ensure data integrity and seamless integration of new data sources.
  • Work closely with the IT infrastructure team to optimize data storage, security, and processing solutions.
  • Support and enforce policies for data governance, quality, security, and access management for the program.
  • Design and define pipelines, data quality metrics, KPIs, data lineage, and dashboards for monitoring and reporting.
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI based on business requirements.
  • Provide leadership to data engineering and analytics teams to ensure alignment with the overall data architecture.
  • Establish and monitor key performance measures for data integration and quality assurance.
  • Support a team of data engineers and dashboard developers in building robust, scalable data solutions.
  • Engage with business to identify data pain points and address them by innovating solutions.
  • Communicate complex data concepts and solutions to non-technical stakeholders in an understandable manner.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of data architecture and all system changes from a data perspective.

YOUR PROFILE

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science/information technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a similar role.
  • Experience with database management systems (MS SQL, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.).
  • Experience with data modeling techniques & tools (Erwin, Embarcadero, IBM InfoSphere, etc.).
  • Cloud platform experience will be an advantage (Azure, AWS, etc.).
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL processes, data integration tools, and data pipelines.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
