Triumph GroupPositionWe are currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our Project Engineering Group to support mechanical product design and development. This person will demonstrate the ability to execute successful new product development programs from initial concept design through production transition within project constraints. This role will have a focus on mechanical products, including not limited to fuel pumps, fuel metering systems, and actuation systems.ResponsibilitiesEffectively lead an integrated product team in the development of new products as technical lead Customer focal point on technical and project management related topics. Prepare component specifications, test plans, and test reports. Provide oversight of mechanical test activities (setup and testing) Organize team level RCCA activities to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical products. Review/monitor schedule and budget commitments relative to assigned projects and communicate risks to management. Ensure new product development procedures are adhered to and that recommendations for continuous improvement and lessons learned are documented. Support operations to ensure that engineered product meets financial objectives through implementation of acceptance test and build standards that align with Design to Cost (DTC) objectives. Identify process and product improvements (new products and legacy products) and implement changes. Multi-task, execute cross-functional activities, and drive projects to successfully meet key milestones. Foster good working relationships with customers, suppliers and internal departments.QualificationsBS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required; PMP certification, MS or MBA degree a plus. 2 years minimum of relevant experience working with Fuel Systems, Engine Controls, Hydraulic Actuation Systems, Aerospace Systems or similar mechanical products. Internships in relevant fields will be accepted in lieu of work experience. Pump design knowledge (gear pump, centrifugal, vane pump, etc.) and/or hydraulic actuator design knowledge a plus Ability to read and understand technical drawings (GDandT). Strong technical writing skills Experience working in and leading product development teams, creating project plans, performing risk assessments and working resource plans necessary for successful program execution.
