MINIMUM Requirements:
*STRONG interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
*3 years of full time work as a dispatcher within the last 5 years
*Service Business dispatching experience - such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC service settings, especially in the commercial market
*Utilizes positive, professional and open-minded manner work to with a variety of people and situations
*Tech-saavy - adept with Dispatch software, ERP systems - quick learner of new platforms
*Expert situation processing, decision-making, and learning skills
*Agile problem solving and critical thinking skills
*Must be High School graduate - Associate's Degree preferred.
Essential Job Tasks:
Receives incoming service calls, determines from customer the nature of service required and acquires the details necessary to prepare and dispatch a technician for most successful performance of the service or repair on the first call.
Inputs work order immediately in the Service Order Software system. Documents problem details, site location, name of person placing order, customer name, address, telephone number, "bill to" address, PO number, time order placed. Continuously updates work order in Service Order Software System to include technician assigned, status (parts on order, complete, cancelled, etc.) and creates history of call by inputting additional information on timely basis.
Prioritizes service calls, and assigns/dispatches technicians based on degree of urgency and importance to customer with considering the technical ability of available technicians.
Provides information to and keeps customers informed of time of arrival, delays, parts ordered status, reschedule date, job order number, etc. Monitors dispatched technicians to update time of arrival. Verifies technician work order entries and time worked.
Accountable for efficient and productive dispatch of technicians.
