We are seeking a dynamic and experienced DVP, Global Sales to join our team and drive our sales strategy on a global scale. Reporting to the Business Unit Manager, the DVP, Global Sales will be responsible for developing and executing the global sales strategy, leading a high-performing sales team, and driving revenue growth across multiple regions. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in international sales, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

  1. Lead global sales organization to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual objectives.
  2. Maximize order volume, profitability, and penetration of markets through administration, management, and sales strategies.
  3. Establish department goals, plans, and metrics that are in-line with business overall objectives including but not limited to funnel, bookings, territory action plans, annual sales quotas, commission plans, etc.
  4. Ensure proper use and utilization of E-Commerce, CRM, and other sales tools throughout the global sales organization.
  5. Maintain awareness of both the external and internal competitive landscape, and opportunities for customer and market expansion.
  6. Structure, negotiate, and close sales agreements with terms and conditions that protect AMETEK’s interests.
  7. Support business unit working capital objectives and support Finance department on Accounts Receivables, Client Payments, etc.
  8. Collaborate with the business's Product Management team on market pricing, competitive activities, and general market trends.
  9. Employee hiring, training, performance evaluations, and enforcement of corporate and business policies and procedures.
  10. Effectively coach, develop, and set expectations for the sales team so that they have a clear understanding of expectations.
  11. Regular Domestic and International Travel to work with the sales team and attend client meetings/events.
  12. Collaborate with peer departments and other business leaders to align the sales department to the strategic direction of the overall business.
  13. Participation in Strategic Planning, Budget, and other business planning processes.
  14. Improve upon and drive forecasting. This includes but is not limited to the implementation of a daily management process so there is a solid understanding of performance expectations and results, and creating an understanding with the sales team where actions need to be taken to improve or accelerate business performance.
  15. Any and all other duties as assigned by the Manager or other higher-level leader at AMETEK.

Experience & Professional Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business required. MBA is highly preferred.

Experience: The qualified candidate should have a minimum of 15 years of industry sales management experience, including performing new business development activities, direct customer interactions, acquisitions and procurement processes, competitive assessments, strategic planning, and employee management.

To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty fully. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  1. Accomplished sales leader with a proven track record of achieving targeted sales growth and account profitability with 10-15 years of international sales experience.
  2. In-depth knowledge of capital equipment selling/purchasing. AMETEK MOCON products and services are used in a wide range of industries, including food and beverage, pharmaceutical, medical device, oil and gas, chemical, and environmental applications.
  3. Proven leadership ability to influence, develop, and empower employees to achieve objectives with a team approach.
  4. Superior presentation, written and verbal communication skills, decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational skills essential.

There is flexibility in the base location of this role (including home-based) and will involve domestic and international travel up to 50%.
