BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Systems Administrator for an opportunity in Indianapolis, IN.


Summary:

  • Pay Range: $65,000/year - $70,000.year

Summary:

As a Systems Administrator at BCforward , you will be a key player in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure. You will take on a leadership role in managing and optimizing our systems, providing high-level support, and driving technological improvements.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in systems administration or a related role.


Technical Skills

  • Office365/M365: Advanced in user management, mailbox migration, and troubleshooting Exchange Online. Proficient in SharePoint Online administration and Microsoft Teams configuration.
  • Operating Systems: Proficient in Windows Server administration (AD, DNS, DHCP) and Linux server management.
  • InTune: Expert in deploying and managing Microsoft InTune for MDM and MAM, including security policies and application deployment.
  • Defender: Skilled in configuring Microsoft Defender ATP for endpoint protection, threat detection, and managing security policies.
  • SentinelOne: Proficient in configuring SentinelOne for real-time threat detection and response, with experience in analyzing security incidents.
  • Mimecast: Experienced in Mimecast administration for email security, including spam filtering and managing user permissions.
  • Azure: Advanced knowledge of Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, including virtual machine management and Azure networking.
  • KnowBe4: Manage security awareness training programs, conduct phishing simulations, and create custom training content.
  • Networking: Strong understanding of networking concepts and experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network security best practices.
  • Scripting: Proficient in PowerShell, Bash, and Python for task automation and process improvement.


Responsibilities

  • Tier 2 and Tier 3 Support: Provide advanced technical support for complex hardware, software, and network issues, serving as an escalation point for junior staff. Lead root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions.
  • System and Network Administration: Manage servers, networks, and data centers to ensure high availability and performance. Conduct regular audits to identify risks and implement security measures like firewalls and VPNs.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Design and manage cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, optimizing resources for performance and cost efficiency. Implement hybrid cloud solutions and integrations.
  • Security Management: Lead the implementation of security tools such as Microsoft Defender and SentinelOne. Conduct security assessments and develop policies to protect company assets.
  • Software and Application Management: Administer Office365/M365, InTune, and Mimecast, managing software deployments and ensuring license compliance. Maintain vendor relationships.
  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and ensure data backup integrity through regular recovery drills. Coordinate business continuity efforts to minimize downtime.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain documentation for system configurations and processes. Generate reports on system performance and contribute to knowledge base articles.
