LaSalle Network is partnering with a leading food manufacturer in the Pacific Northwest. They are in search of a Senior Production Manager ! The Senior Production Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership and support in the areas of safety, quality, people management, sanitation and production planning at our client's site. This role involves managing production activities to ensure the site meets its operational goals and objectives. This role requires relocation to Washington State, and relocation assistance will be provided to the successful candidate.
Senior Production Manager Responsibilities:
- Serve as a proactive safety and food safety ambassador, ensuring a safe work environment and promoting continuous improvement in plant safety culture
- Foster a highly engaged team environment that encourages open and honest communication across all levels
- Provide supportive leadership to the production team, promoting engagement and growth
- Plan and manage production activities to achieve overall site goals and objectives
- Lead and monitor the adoption and implementation of site Manufacturing Daily Improvement (MDI) principles and practices
- Act as an active change management coach to facilitate smooth transitions and improvements
- Plan, implement and oversee manufacturing operations to meet scheduled production volume requirements
- Direct production operations to meet targets in safety, quality, sanitation and cost
- Ensure compliance with all company and external quality assurance and sanitation standards
- Lead efforts to continually improve manufacturing costs and product quality
- Support and enforce the implementation of all Human Resources policies and requirements
- Recognize exemplary employee performance and support career development opportunities
- Direct or assist in plant improvement or capacity expansion projects
- Develop and implement strategies for cost savings, waste reduction and optimization
- Stay updated on innovations and advancements in the food processing industry
- Prepare and submit timely reports, including Key Performance Indicators, annual operating and capital budgets and work within budgetary guidelines
- Promote inter-departmental cooperation through active collaboration with site leadership
- Provide resources to department supervisors and resolve issues referred by the Plant Manager
- Demonstrate positive leadership through effective communication with all levels of management and the hourly workforce
- Continually strive for personal and professional development
Senior Production Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years of production experience in a food processing plant in a significant leadership capacity
- Ability to interpret a variety of written and oral instructions and read and interpret schedules related to production and product line changeovers
- Proficiency in Basic English and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization effectively
- This role requires close collaboration and communication with the Plant Manager, Ag Operations Manager, Human Resources Business Partner, Engineering Manager, Health & Safety Manager and their respective teams. It also involves maintaining strong relationships with departments such as Production Planning and Inventory Control, Corporate Quality, Research and Development, Marketing, Sales and Engineering
- The Senior Production Manager is accountable for ensuring that all finished products meet established quality standards, and that the plant adheres to all sanitation, microbiological control, statistical process control and HACCP guidelines, as well as USDA, FDA and other inspection requirements. Ensuring the safety and well-being of all personnel is a top priority while meeting these responsibilities
- The nature of this position requires the ability to build positive working relationships and engage others in achieving departmental and plant goals. The role involves coaching, training, communication, problem-solving, leadership and recognition to foster a continuous improvement environment
Senior Production Manager Benefits:
- $125,000 - $140,000 USD annually +bonus. The salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position at the time of posting. Exact compensation within this range will be determined based on education, skills, experience and other organizational needs
