Morgan Stanley is seeking an experienced Strategic Client Coverage lead to drive and manage key partnerships that align with our business goals. In spearheading the effort, you will drive growth, product adoption, and brand awareness of Morgan Stanley’s Private Markets offerings across private companies, investors and the broader private market ecosystem. You will closely partner with venture capital firms, private equity firms, law firms and more to drive partnership opportunities and deepen market presence.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive partnership strategy to deliver the full scope of Morgan Stanley to both private companies and investors.
- Identify, evaluate and establish strategic partnerships with venture capital firms, law firms, private equity firms and other partners to enhance product offerings and market presence.
- Develop and nurture high-impact partnerships with key players in the private market ecosystem to increase adoption of workplace and investment solutions.
- Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with key internal and external partners.
- Develop metrics and KPIs to assess the success and impact of partnerships, and provide regular reporting to management.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities to continuously refine and enhance the client and partnership strategy.
- Identify new market opportunities, define strategy to drive growth and adoption while aligning across the firm's private company and investor strategy.
- Strategic analysis and segmentation of markets, trends and industry developments to identify new opportunities across all Private Markets ecosystem.
- Ability to collaborate across various business units to deepen client engagement and drive cross selling opportunities.
- Responsible for cultivating strong relationships and creating alignment between strategic partners and business unit goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in relationship management, strategic partnerships, business development or a related field within the private market ecosystem.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and growing client relationships and strategic partnerships.
- Strong understanding of private markets, private investors, capital markets and industry trends.
- Networking skills to obtain market information necessary to anticipate customer needs and interpret the trends that are evolving in the private markets.
- Ability to think strategically and execute methodically, with a strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to identify, prioritize and execute on timely business priorities.
- FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 (or Series 63 and 65) required or willingness to obtain within 180 days of hire.
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $250,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
