My client is a financially sound 200 bed hospital in the heart of Chicago’s near north side. Located in one of the 'hottest' areas of the city, it is an easy commute/El ride from Downtown, the northern, northwest and western suburbs.
This award winning hospital has engaged our firm to find a strong VP of Patient Care services with a desire and passion to share his or her knowledge with a tenured staff. This position will be a key member of this busy management team.
They are affiliated with both Northwestern and Children's hospitals!
Reporting to the Chief Operation Officer the Chief Nursing Officer, CNO, ensures the administration of quality patient care. They oversee, guide and mentor the entire nursing and respiratory staff to ensure the plan of care for the patient population. The successful candidate will be a proven leader, including holding a prior position as a sitting Chief Nurse Officer/Vice President Patient Care Services. This leader will be able to demonstrate that he or she has created a vision, set the course, held the team accountable to strive daily for excellence and did so by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements:
- Must possess 2 plus years of nursing leadership experience (CNO level or higher) in a hospital setting
- Proven track record of improving quality, patient safety, patient satisfaction and cost containment
- Must be a licensed (or eligible) RN in the state of Illinois
- Masters degree in Nursing or related degree required
